Football Fever!!!

I got this cake order for my twin cousins 19th birthday. One liked Raiders, and the other liked the Broncos.

I used the exploding-effect on both of the cakes, 

using a football made of RKT and covered with fondant. 

The Raiders cake was a Vanilla Cake with Caramel Frosting. 

And the Broncos cake was a Vanilla cake with Vanilla Frosting. 

All of the accents and logos were hand-made out of fondant. 

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

I was able to do this TMNT cake for a little boys birthday party. 

It was done in a really short amount of time, because it got ordered the night before,

 so this is what I came up with....

All characters and decorations were made of fondant, and hand-crafted...

and the top of that cake was made to look like a sewer cover.

This cake was the popular Triple Chocolate cake.

Dodger Pride!!!

I was asked to do a birthday cake for my daughter's teachers Hubby... 

(lets see if you can process that). 

Anyway, hes a dodger fan who was turning 32.....

This is the result....

The cake was Triple Chocolate cake, which is a chocolate cake with 

chocolate chips and chocolate frosting. 

It also had an Oreo Buttercream Filling. 

Mmmmm, my mouth is drooling just remembering it. 

The red decorations were drawn on with edible marker, 

and the blue decorations were made out of marshmellow fondant. 

Tinkerbell!

My daughters 3rd birthday is in October, and her current obsession is Tinker Bell, 

so that's what her birthday party theme was. 

We had her party in our new backyard (since we finally just got our own house), 

and had her a bounce house. 

The bottom layer of her Tinkerbell Cake was Banana and the top layer was Red Velvet cake, 

both with Cream Cheese Butter-cream Frosting. 

All of the cake decorations were made out of fondant. 

I think this is my best one yet.... : )    

I used these pretty purple flower cupcakes liners with the cupcakes, 

and just frosted them with White Butter-cream Frosting. 

I used candy melts to design the butterfly and Initial decorations on top.

Duck Tape Cake

I had a request for a duct tape cake, 

and I was at a complete loss. 

After researching and improvising, 

I came up with the cake below.

I used real duct tape to decorate the cake board and 

a silver edible spray to give the duck tape effect to the letters and top tier. 

 For the top tier, I cut out the cardboard center of the duct tape roll 

and put it inside the cake, 

so that it would look like an actual roll of duct tape. 

It came out better than I thought...

Pink and Zebra.

I made a pink and zebra cake and cupcakes for my sister-in-law's

 birthday party a couple of weeks ago. 

The party was a blast, but it was outside, 

so my cupcakes kept melting... 

Lesson learned though,

 i'll just have to find a thicker frosting for next time...

This is another zebra cake I did shortly after.

To The Rescue!!!

My cousin had a party for her son, and wanted to do a superhero theme for his first birthday party. I was honored to create these cake pops for the little Stud... Everything was decorated by just using candy melts and a toothpick. It was a long process, but well worth it!! 

The bunch included Captain America, Green Lantern, 
Superman, Iron Man, Batman,  The Hulk, 
And last, but not least.....Spiderman!

Its a Colorful World....

I made some cake pops for my mother-in-law's birthday party,

and she wanted all different colors, 

so I just added sprinkles. 

These were super easy and quick,

just add the sprinkles after you dip the cake pops, 

while the coating is still wet....

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?!

Yup, that's right, I made Sponge Bob cake pops!!! 

They were challenging because they require a lot of detail,

 but they came out really cute.

The decorations were mainly candy melts, using a toothpick to draw on the details. 

The nose is a yellow tick-tack. 

 And then I made the flowers on some of them using regular sprinkles...

 All together now!!!

Sesame Street Sweetness!

For Evalyn's 2nd Birthday, I did a Sesame Street theme with the red, yellow, blue, and green colors. We had her party at the park on a beautiful cool and sunny day. Everything was decorated and created by hand, including the sweets and decor. The cupcakes were my absolute favorite. They were easy, cute, and so fun to make. 

I found this invitation online, which was actually the inspiration for her party decorations and cupcakes. 

For the Cookie Monster cupcake, I used blue frosting, half a chocolate chip cookie for the mouth, and candy eyes, and the cake was chocolate. 

Oscar the Grouch was chocolate cake with green frosting. I used black gel icing for the mouth, red frosting for the tongue, candy eyes, and bits of chocolate for the eyebrows. Notice I used silver cupcake wrappers to look like a tin garbage can. 

For Elmo, I used strawberry cake, red frosting, candy eyes, black icing gel for the mouth, and an orange tic-tac for the nose. I would recommend using an orange candy that more of a circle though. 

For these cupcakes, I just used confetti cake, white vanilla frosting, and rainbow sprinkles. 

I didn't get a picture of her smash cake, but it was a simple white cake with white frosting and huge rainbow sprinkles that I purchased from Target. It went perfectly with the theme. 

The decorations were really easy, I used construction paper to make each characters face, the banners, and the food labels.

A fun idea I had was to make food labels to go with each Sesame Street character.  

I had these tubs from Evalyn's 1st birthday party, so I cut our letters and numbers and pasted them on. I used each on to hold lollipops and the different colored silverware wrapped in a napkin. 

 And then I had everyone where Sesame Street shirts!!!

My Lil' Ladybug Evalyn!

    So, last year for my daughters first birthday, I decided to do a ladybug theme and incorporated everything with black, red, and white colors. Most of her decorations were handmade, including her invitations. I've never hosted a party before, nor have done a big cake like the one she had. It was fun making them, but very time-consuming.  However, everyone ended up loving the party and we had so much fun!!! Which made all the hectic moments well worth it....

 This was my first time working with fondant. The cake was chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry with vanilla frosting. I made marshmallow fondant from a recipe I found online, and food dye to stain the red layer of fondant. The red ladybug on top was used as the smash cake. 

For the smash cake, I used a round oven-proof bowl for the body and used a cupcake for the head.  I also used the black pipe cleaners for the antennae. 

For the invitations, I used construction paper, googly eyes, and pipe cleaners. I also cut the ladybug wings in half so that they would open up, using a pin to hold it all together. The "Evalyn's 1st Birthday" was printed out on red construction paper  

 I decorated the frames with ladybugs stickers that I found at Walmart. 

 I bought these tags from Walmart to go around the cookie pops that I made. 

This was a cute idea that everyone adored. I acually attached the ribbon (red ribbon that I drew black dots on) to a larger ladybug made out of construction paper, which was also made with googly eyes and pipe cleaners. 

I got the idea for this banner from a website online. This was made out of construction paper and ribbon. I made the flower shapes using cups and bowls to trace. 

Here, you can see the cookie pops that I made, and the silverware wrapped in a white napkin, tied it with a black ribbon and red ribbon with white dots. I found the red tub at Target in the dollar section, and I drew on black dots.

This is Evalyn on the morning of her birthday!  I guess shes a morning person.... I have no idea where she gets that from. =D
